So, does NuCalm work or not?

It worked for me, and I was quite skeptical, as I had tried so many options to deal with my stress and feeling tired all the time with running my business. Prescription drugs from my doctor left me feeling empty, caffeine gave me the jitters, and fad diets, along with butter in my coffee just plain didn't work. What I needed was more sleep, but the stress I was under, didn't allow that to happen. However, with NuCalm, I was able to get the restful sleep my body desperately needed, without the time commitment. That sounds strange, but what my body craved was a two-hour afternoon nap. The responsibilities of my company and employees could not allow for a two-hour break in the afternoon. However, I could do 20 minutes and that is all NuCalm needed to deliver.

When is the best time to NuCalm?

The time you personally choose to experience the NuCalm system depends on a variety of many things.

Your specific lifestyle and your daily schedule play a big role in how you will benefit from the system. Also, how you feel on any given day and what you are wanting to achieve from your NuCalm session can affect your results.

You will learn through this process which time of day is the best fit for your schedule. You will also learn which times of day will be best for you to achieve different benefits that you are after. Understand that while the NuCalm system is consistent, the human mind and body are not. And when you factor that each person is vastly different, the sheer number of options that are available are overwhelming. This is why it is important for you to stay focused and committed to the system as you figure out the best times and best use of the system for you. For example; morning sessions may help finish off a poor night’s sleep; afternoon sessions may help get you through that afternoon lull as an alternative to caffeine, and bedtime sessions may clear mind-chatter and help with insomnia.

Our only recommendation is to avoid the Recharge journey at night as these are designed as a “pick-me-up” and may affect your ability to fall asleep.

How long can I or should I NuCalm?

Your NuCalm session is as long as you want it to be or need it to be.

Ideally, you want to go to your natural endpoint – when you just “wake up” on your own.

If time is limited, you can set a timer with a minimum length of 20 minutes.

It is normal for initial session lengths to be quite long as your body is catching up from years of imbalance, stress, and poor sleep.

Ultimately, your natural endpoint time will begin to decrease as NuCalm becomes a tool for daily maintenance.

How often can I or should I NuCalm?

Daily use is ideal.

We recommend 3-4 times a week, 20-min minimum.

NuCalm is balancing your autonomic nervous system. If you are using it every day, there is less balancing to be done each time.

The natural endpoint of your session is when you start feeling restless and just “wake up”, similar to waking up from a nap.

Going to your natural endpoint means you have achieved complete autonomic nervous system balancing for the day.

The length of your natural session is an indication of how out of balance you are. Sleep deprivation, poor sleep quality, stress, jetlag, illness, injury are all factors that will affect the length of your session.

With consistent use of NuCalm, you will see that the natural endpoint of your session will become shorter over time.

Can I go to bed with NuCalm?

Some people also do like to do NuCalm right before bed or in the middle of the night, if they are having a hard time falling asleep or back asleep.

NuCalm isn’t intended as a sleep aid, but since it can clear away racing thoughts brought on by stress, prepare the body for sleep and recovery, and guide the brainwaves down to the verge of sleep, it can help people fall asleep more seamlessly.

If you’re doing NuCalm to help you get to sleep – stick to the Reboot or Rescue journeys.

Can everyone use NuCalm?

NuCalm is very safe, and there are no contraindications for NuCalm.

Individuals with claustrophobia may opt for the light blocking glasses instead of the light blocking eye mask.

Children under 5 should not use the NuCalm Disc, but may listen to the neuroacoustic software ambiently.
